Elder Care in Amherst, Nova Scotia

If you are a friendly family with elderly and currently looking for somebody to help, please message me. My name is Dalisay, I am a caregiver here in Israel. I am a very caring person, optimistic and hardworking. I have a great experience with elderly and also I’ve got certificate course in home care for the elderly here in Israel. About my Education I have a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering in the Philippines and also underwent training course in caregiver. About my experience I started my career in Caregiving since October 2006 here in Israel. My first employer had Alzheimer and lately she developed Dementia. I did everything to her, including changing diapers. I fed her thru peg feeding. She had also thrombosis. Every day I have given her an injection thru her abdomen for unti-blood clotting. While all oral medication goes thru her peg feeding. I gave my full attention to her. I was the one who looked after her peg site and for the other sore. I changed her pressure sore dressing daily. I turned her on her side regularly to prevent the complication of the pressure sore and to promote the healing of pressure sore including her peg feeding site daily. As the time went by she became weak and died. I did look after her 3yrs and 2 months. My next job was to take care of a couple ages 86 and 91.They are both having problem with their heart. The husband with spinal cord problem. It’s hard for him to move around. So that’s why I always give him a hand. During my free time, I work at home for the aged. A lot of elderly w/ different kind of illness. I work there as a part time job. About my approach in work w/ elderly While working w/ elderly I did apply all my expertise and my knowledge, psychology and lesson learnt before. I know how to solve any kind of eating disorders, behavior problem of the elderly. It seems also that there are several elderly refuse to eat and take medicines. I always listen to them, especially when they have pain or if they want something. About me I am pretty healthy, I do not smoke, and I have no illness or allergy. I like music. I have 8 years in Israel as a caregiver. I can work w/ a team player. I have my husband in my family in the Philippines. My future plans: I want to work in Canada because I would like to share my knowledge, experience and at the same time to save money for the future. While my husband still working in the Philippines as a Government Employee. I would be happy to find a friendly family in Canada and start working w/ a long term contract.
