There is great vitality of creativity, humor, ingenuity, and adventure-mindedness in seniors, empty nesters, elders, and the (mildly) infirm I have been blessed to serve...companion care in book involves assessing for strengths and building on these, bringing arts and other hobbies to the home space and creating small 'field' trips to safely explore the outer world, and getting to know a person's journey and dreams (and yes, there are dreams that can be experienced even with limitations). I most seek live-in roles. I can trade skills for a room in a house with private bath when weekly hours are extremely low, otherwise, if more hours are needed, I accept pay in cash. I help manage medications, facilitate safe movement, monitor bathing for safety (not full bathing) and walk to/from toilet room (no toileting or diaper changing). I have a healthcare degree but am not a nurse and I am best suited for high-functioning people. I have been offering services for over 8 years and the last few years have additionally offered this by traveling, city to city where called, for shorter to longer term roles.
