Elder Care in Sutherlin, Oregon

I am 18 years old and i just graduated high school. I worked with an elderly couple with dementia for 3 years. I learned how to prepare the wife special meals for her diabetes, and learned how to make detailed meal plans. I gave both of them all of there medications everyday. I learned how to help her walk because her legs were failing. Twice a week i would give both of them showers and baths. I cleaned their entire house everyday. I had to learn elderly baby sitting skills including CPR/First aid and get my certificate, I had to always keep an eye out for the husband because he would wander outside and get lost. I also stayed weekend nights to help them with their sundown dementia. I learned how to detain an elder if they do happen to get violent. I am very good and coming in between to people who are fighting and arguing, I move in before they get to frustrated.
