After caregiving for my father in law during the last months of his life I realized that the experience was very rewarding for me. I would very much like to offer others In the elderly community the same care and service that I gave him. I have a level 2 background check and 1&1/2 year's experience with bolus feeding via peg tube, bathing, medication administration, transportation to doctor's appointments and hospital visits, colostomy care, catheter drainage, meal preparation, companionship, social outings, household chores, cleaning, medical dressing care and changes, clothing/unclothing assistance, shopping errands, ambulatory assistance and more. I am a very good listener and conversationalist and love to hear about people's interests. I have a very good sense of humor and love making people laugh! I also love music, poetry and prose and would be very happy to read the daily paper or any other literature to any sight impaired client and find soothing music to enhance the client's feeling of well being. I am also an animal lover, especially cats, and some dogs particularly greyhounds and weimaraners and can provide pet care including feeding and walking. I have recently aquired a 2 year first aid/cpr/aed certification from the Red Cross I am from the UK and have that English accent that many Americans love to hear!
