Elder Care in Burton, Illinois

I have 7 years experience in caregiving and am available to work. I have worked with both able bodied and physically challenged adults with varying mental health states including dementia, Alzheimer, bipolar disorder and depression. I have found; having cared for patients with a range of physical health issues, diabetes, athritis. high-blood pressure and various bodily impairment; that patience and willingness to learn are crucial. Communication between myself and my employers is important as you find in most cases that the vulnerable person's cannot effectively communicate their needs..... experience caring for adults and children are so vastly different as the latter require more mental stimulation for their developing brains. The challenge of procuring activities that help a developing mind without being overstimulating for children on the spectrum, is one I quite enjoy. I am a South African citizen living in South Africa but am willing to travel outside of the country. I would like to apply for any care positions you have.
