My name is Greg. I am reasonably fit, healthy, honest, patient, kind, polite, considerate and positive. I love animals, and people. I was a certified, practicing Paramedic in Australia for over 19 years. While working for the monopoly ambulance service I received honors, awards, commendations and two national medals. I worked for ten years as a Health and Safety/Risk Manager/Consultant following my emergency service career. I lived for many years in Australia but returned home to my beloved USA in 2016. There is no place like home and America is my home. I have a perfect, flawless lifetime driving record, dependable 4 wd vehicle, good credit, impeccable references in the US and Australia, I have never been arrested for anything. I would of course insist on meeting you in order to ensure that every possible effort is made to ensure that I am the right person for this role from each of our perspectives. I love being home in America and will gladly drive at my own expense to introduce myself and meet with you if we satisfy each of our prerequisites prior to that final step. Nineteen years as a Paramedic, a decade of mountain search and rescue in Alaska, volunteer fire fighting in the US, a decade of conducting health and safety inspections and audits and a fair number of years as a Builder and Licensed General Contractor (I am 63) not to mention small stints such as my past three months working on a 6,000 acre farm in North Dakota places me in an ideal position to exchange my time, knowledge, experience and communication skills for the right person or couple. I am currently short-term renting and relish the opportunity to provide healthy, compassionate, patient company and assistance in exchange for a home to live in with a modest wage. I am just as handy in the yard as I am with lifting techniques, fixing things as I am with medication administration. I’m not a Paramedic any more, but we are who we are and I wore the same uniform for almost two decades. Anyone can put anything on a website or resume. We can talk on the phone and meet. This is a big decision for both parties and deserves careful consideration. In all my years as a Paramedic in a city of more than 1 million people I never had a complaint from a patient nor a single regret. I am honest, fun loving, well read and I like to cook and clean. When I was a teenager I sailed halfway around the world on a small sloop and it taught me to be ship-shape and it has always stayed with me. Not ‘over-the-top’ mind you, but I am no slob. I am no slouch with computers and data bases but I still find a teenager when I can’t get my phone to do what I want it to. I lived in what was then West Germany for most of 1985 so I know a little German. My Spanish improves considerably when I am around people speaking it. I love to cook, garden and read.
