Overview: Hi there my name is Stacey. I am looking for elderly care provider work opportunity in Brooklyn, New York. I promise to be a qualified individual. I can alter my schedule to meet your needs, with prior notification. Description of Skills: I am comfortable doing physical therapy, light housekeeping, food shopping, cooking, feeding, administration of medication, as well as escorting someone to a physician or an appointment or just getting outside on a nice day. If tube feeding is needed, as long as I am shown what to do, I can absolutely do it. I was an EMT, certified CPR instructor & licensed phlebotomist a long time ago. I have over a year of experience. I was the primary caregiver for multiple family members who were quite sick, some even bedridden. I used to give my grandfather his insulin shots & check his blood sugar 4 times a day. I was also the caregiver for a few elderly people in my old neighborhood, who, unfortunately, are no longer with us. I'm great with people, especially the elderly. I also am very good with people suffering from Alzheimer's disease and/or Dementia. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when I was 15. I was her primary caregiver for the next 6 years. The last year of her life the decision was made to place her in a nursing home which I fully didn't agree with.
