Elder Care in St. Petersburg, Florida

Have had experience in taking care of my Mother who had cancer for 7 years. I did everything for her, except taking care of hygiene. Took care of my Father with a broken back. Made sure he was fed lunch, would help to the bathroom, but mostly kept him Company, we became close and I was blessed to help him, he passed away two months later. Have worked extensively with people with a Mental Iliness. I was a advocate and talked to many people who were sucidal. Helping them until we were able to get help for them.Also ran a group called People Inc. Was part of a national program to help young adults not to be ashamed of there Iliness. We called it What a Difference a Friend Makes. Worked with the homeless I was part of a group who helped feed many. The most important thing I could do is to listen to them, be understanding, and not judge them for being who they were. Worked with many different animals.Volunteered helping with adoptions. Also I fostered many cats and dogs. My most important part of life, was taking care of my sister who died 5 months ago. Was responsible for giving her meds, moving her, get her anything she needed. She lasted four days, I am very blessed to be her companion. Also have worked with someone who has dementia. Would rather not work with someone who requires personal hygiene. Willing to take someone to the Dr, or somewhere they would like to go. I have a car and Insurance. Prefer a non smoker. Can work only in am P/U grandchildren from school. I have a Grandaughter who has special needs, she is 16 and had 32 back operations. She is truly a inspiration to me and everyone who knows her.
