Summary: Hey my name is Marcia. I am seeking a home carer job opportunity in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My aim is to utilize my skill as a home carer. My specialty is with dementia clients. I am willing to be flexible with scheduling. I'm a 56 yr old old caregiver with experience. I have recently relocated from PA to the Cheyenne Mountain area of Colorado Springs. I find it a joy and reward to care for elderly. Until recently I took care of my mom who had dementia. I have been caring for elderly patients in their home since 2007. From February 2017 until her passing in April 2018. I cared for Miss Lizzy, a sweet 92 yr old with dementia. I provided companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, cooking, and overnight care. From July 2018-November 2018, I provided daily companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping and personal care for 88 yr old Dimitri, until his sudden passing. My last "friend" was 88 yr old, Don, who had dementia. I was with Don from December 2018-July 2019. I spent 84 hours a week caring for Don in his home. As with all of my patients I provided meal prep, light housekeeping, bathing, laundry, giving medication and companionship. My main focus is always treating my patients with dignity and respect.
