Elder Care in Hilo, Hawaii

My name is Jazmin Martinez and I am a 35 year old young professional currently working remotely from Hilo as a Project Coordinator. I am very interested in changing my profession and becoming a full time Caregiver. I am not a certified nurse but I do have personal experience with care giving. My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and I assisted her through the battle. I maintained the house with general house keeping duties as dusting, sweeping, mopping and keeping of bathrooms and kitchen. I cooked daily vegan meals with low sodium and fat, prepared her snacks throughout the day. I assisted her with showering and using the restroom, dressing and grooming. I maintained a time record of her medications to ensure they were taken in a timely manner. I checked her blood pressure, temperature and sugar levels daily. My grandmother had a small backyard with a garden where we spent most of our time. She loved to be outdoors but physically was not strong enough to take walks. I also assisted her in paying her monthly bills, making doctors appointments and also ensure the medication prescribed were refilled. I also own a car and can assist with grocery shopping and taking her to doctor appointments. I am a very friendly and happy person and would love the opportunity to provide care and happiness to someone in need. I would prefer to give care only to a female.
