Elder Care in Kendall, Florida

I'm an
Individual
I am a 47 yr old white male,6"2,180lbs.,I hold a B.S.(Interamerican University of P.R.-1994), in Biomedical Science,1 yr. Post graduate studies in Biochemistry(U..... P.R.-1995),during which time I had to drop my M.S. degree to help care for my Grandfather who was suffering from Alzheimer's until he was finally admitted to the VA hospital after 2 yrs of homecare, and where he eventually passed away. I worked as a substitute teacher at my Alma Mater for 2 years, then came to Miami to pursue a career in the Culinary industry. After a decade of working in the Culinary industry(from sautee cook, corporate trainer/store opener, to Lead Executive Chef ,F & B Director and Kitchen Manager),I once again returned home(2012),this time to help care for my Grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's as well. The sacrifice, commitment, dedication and patience it takes to care for someone with such disabilities, disorders and syndromes is one thing I have come to understand and apply myself to give the best care possible to such people/patients. For the past year, I have been a live-in caregiver...as well as housekeeper,Chef, laundry service, landscaper, and securiry detail, for a 29 yr. old Schizophrenic male, which under my advice and recommendation, will soon be placed in an A.L.F.... since his remaining family members(and who pay me for his care),no longer have the financial means to pay for his care. This being said, I have cared and looked out for him,and the house for the past 3 months without being compensated. Caregiving is definitely something I believe and am passionate as well as professional and serious about. From 062016 to 04/2017, I was hired by Loyal Source government services to work for the O.R.R. of Homeland Security at their Federal government facility in Homestead,Fl. I was recruited as a Youth Care worker in June 2016. By September 2016, I was promoted to Educational Instructor and then promoted again in January 2017 to Dormitory Director and Program Coordinator of the Education Department. I hope this brief description has given you substantial information on who I am,what my goals are and above all...my strong work ethic and firm moral principles. Respectfully, Mark A. Daily
