I have worked as an caregiver for more than 4 years I am also registered as an Home health aide with the state. My experience is hoyer lift, gait belts, transfer bords, incontinent care, meal prep, medication management, bathing, dressing, range of motion, transportation, companionship. I have worked with elderly as well as disabled people quadriplegic, dementia, alzheimers, huntington disease, respite care. Being able to help those in need is a gift, and I love what I do you can't do this job and not love it. There are challenges that come with this kind of work, but the key is patience being able to learn the clients needs and make sure you can perform the essentials to complete the job always willing to learn, and never afraid to ask for help.
