My demonstrated ability to partner with healthcare professionals to provide the client’s required medical care and the know-how of assisting the client with their daily healthcare, individual needs, safety and comfort make me the perfect candidate for this job. I am well versed in helping clients in their routine activities, like feeding, bathing, and grooming. I am a keen learner and have the ability to remain calm in emergency situations. My inherent people skills assist me in boosting the client's moral and to maintain their dignity even in times of stress. My experience includes 18 months as the residential manager of a Bee hive Home assisted living in Ogden, Utah. I provided meals, distributed medications, and assisted with bathing, dressing for 12 residents. I also worked with nurses and family to maximize quality living. I spent almost 1 year caring for a morbidly obese woman confined to a wheelchair. I provided her with meals and housekeeping. I transferred her with a Hoyer lift and provided assistance with toileting, hygiene and dressing. I worked with an 88 year old woman with dementia and osteoporosis. She required round the clock care in her home. I prepared her meals and assisted her with bathing, dressing, toileting and hygiene. She required the aid of a walker and assistance with ambulation. I was trained and certified as an EMT basic for 4 years and worked on the ambulance and as a first responder in both Darby and Sula Montana. I have completed training and have applied for State testing to obtain my HCA certification. I am highly organized, warm and compassionate and have a broad knowledge of the challenges clients and their loved ones face.
