Elder Care in Stratford, Prince Edward Island

Hello, I'm Lauren and I'm an experienced care provider living in the Stratford area but I do have my own reliable transportation and have have absolutely no problem with working in Charlottetown, Cornwall, East and West royalty and the surrounding areas. My last position for example was located in, York PE. I offer PT hrs and potentially more. I provide live out services however I've spent a night here and there when needed in a pinch for some clients over the years. I've also lived and worked in these positions in both Edmonton, AB where I lived for 3 years as well as in Toronto, ON for approximately - 2.5 years. I do have many years of experience working with not only the elderly but with those of all ages with disabilities, dimentia, alzeimers, special needs, and also services for companionship, house work, launry and meal prep. I have an excellent bedside manner and come from a family history with those working withiin the healthcare/nursing field and I truly do love this line of work. I'm passionate about providing the highest quality of care and I strive to make sure that all of my clients feel comfortable, respected, and safe. I'm committed to providing a personalized service to each of my clients so that they can maintain their independence and dignity. Along with already having a great bedside manner, I beleive that helping my mother take care of my father during his 6.5 year battle with pancreatic cancer did teach me so much in so many ways that words simply can not explain. I have so much respect and compassion for the families who do have critically ill people in their lives and understand just how difficult it can be. I have worked as an RCW within a long term care facility and for that reason I've administered medications in the workplace and even more so in a private homecare setting. I do have my TLR training, CPR, First Aid, WHIMIS and have had many vulnerable sector criminal record checks over the years due working in childcare which is the exact same criminal record check required to work within a facility for the elderly, mentally ill patients and those with disabilities who require help with full on nursing care around the clock.
