Elder Care in Toronto, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
About Alyssa Hi there! I have been working with children with intellectual disabilities for over 15 years. I have decades of real life experience in a supportive, caregiver role. I have also been supporting my brother with Down\'s syndrome for decades. He is in his early 50\'s. In addition to that I took care of my grandmother for decades until she passed a few years ago. I also supported a lovely elderly women in her last year, who unfortunately died of cancer. There is not many things I have not done when it comes to supportive care. I am kind, generous, funny, energetic and a great cook! I also suffered from a mild brain injury to which I have recovered, so I have a lot of experience with mental health, pain management and cognitive issues I have a Community Social Service Worker degree, a food handlers certificate, current CPR and First aid, a valid drivers licence and am currently studying part time to become a nutritionist. I am looking to transition from being a caregiver to people with special needs to elder care. Part time work only. Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy going for walks, playing cards, doing activities, seeing cultural events, talking about art, music, reading, art, gardening, creativity, grocery shopping and especially especially especially cooking! I am located at St Clair and Yonge street and am willing to travel withing Toronto, where TTC access or bicycling to work is viable.
