My experience has been very personal. I was a caregiver for my mom for over 10 years. My mom had Alzheimer's and lived with me pretty much to the end. I also watch a young lady I found wondering in my community who had begging of Alzheimer's. Daughter did not have anyone to watch over her mom and she couldn't afford to place her in a facility. So I volunteer to watch her until she found a place because leaving her alone for over 8 hours a day was unacceptable to me. My employment position has recently been eliminated, I'm taking this opportunity to change carriers, providing attention & caring for an elderly person makes me happy.
