Elder Care in Dallas, Texas

I am currently ministering to and caring for the Senior Adult community at my church. I am employed at Skillman Church of Christ on a part-time basis in Dallas, TX. I guess you could say I come from a long line of care givers. My mama instilled that in us when we were children and it has become my life's passion. Here at the church I prepare a full breakfast for them on Tuesday mornings. We have a devotional time after our meal. On Thursday's, I prepare lunch and we share a movie together. These events are vital to these folks as for most of them this is the only time they come out of their homes to socialize. My work extends beyond the church into hospital rooms, their homes, and performing various tasks for them as needed. Many times what they need most is for someone to just sit and talk with them. Those are my favorite moments. I love to hear their stories and many of them tell their tales with a great deal of humor!!! I believe in my heart that I have been blessed with spiritual gifts.......Being of Service and Compassion for Others.
