Summary: Hi there, my name is Lauren and I am a nurse, a mom to a 2 year old son, and I'm about to graduate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May. I moved to Atlanta in August for my husband's job and am looking for ways to make side money as I finish up my Nurse Practitioner degree. I believe that my skillset and experience makes me a very high quality candidate to help other families in the area. I have a huge heart for the elderly and have experience as an RN, as an NP student in the primary care provider role, as well as working with other clients in their homes. I have elderly home care and/or experience with my own family member's care in areas of Alzheimer's dementia, Parkinsons, MS, post-stroke patients, paralysis, incontinence, and frailty/declining functional ability in general. Medication management, education, food prep, house cleaning, helping with exercises and rehab as well as hygiene needs are also in the scope of my abilities and what I'm willing to assist with! Availability: I have a two year old, and therefore am available mostly in the early morning (5-7a), evenings (6-10p) or weekends (5a-7p), unless I can bring my son with me if I need to just pop over for a small task such as distributing medications or if there is flexibility in that regard. I have been wanting my toddler and I to volunteer locally with the elderly, so if it would benefit or bring life and joy to your loved one, I would love for them to meet. I would not consider working longer hours or doing labor intensive tasks with my child with me, and if the pay is competitive I can increase my availability beyond my stated hours as well.
