Description: Hello, I am a Personal Care Assistant and have worked in San Francisco/Bay Area hospital, a Residential Care Facility, and private homes as a Certified Nursing Assistant (certification not current). I have thoroughly enjoyed assisting a diversity of clients with different personal and non-medical health needs for more than 10 years. Services And Training: I have always taken the giver in caregiver very seriously and as such have devoted myself to giving responsible care to all my clients. I take an approach that focuses on adapting myself to the clients personality and individual needs, ensuring not only the health of my clients, but also their happiness. I worked three years as a CNA, in a supervisory role, at Leland House/Catholic Charities; a Residential Care Facility for individuals who are triple-diagnosed: HIV-positive, homeless, either drug or psych historyor both. I also worked as a CNA for three years with a sixty-eight-year-old male with atypical Parkinsons Disease; two years with a twenty-five-year-old male with developmental disability; three months with an eighty-four-year-old male with Vascular Dementia; and three months with a ninety-year-old-male with Classic Dementia. My job responsibilities included total and assistive care, light housekeeping, companionship, laundry, medication reminders, companionship, and accompanying the clients to doctor appointments (do not drive and/or own a vehicle). I provided care to each client with a gentle touch that ensured their needs were met, they were comfortable, and had as enjoyable a day as possible.
