As someone close to Kris, I have never seen her put anything but 100 percent into any work she is given. She is a hard worker and very diligent to whatever task she is working on. Her passion and care for others make her invaluable to her friends, family, and community. When I worked with her as a Barista at Starbucks, she did her best to make sure everything was running smoothly and if there was any down time, she would try to get ahead so we could close and get out on time, if not early. At Ross and at Starbucks during her time there, co-workers were always happy to see her because they knew that she would do her best to make sure everyone and everything was tended to in a timely and thoughtful manner. Kris took wonderful care of my mother at home allowing her to stay in her house four years longer than she would have been able to stay otherwise. That made my mother very happy and was a blessing to the entire family. Kris is extremely compassionate and completely trustworthy. My family and I got to know her at our church(kingdom hall) eight years ago and felt so fortunate to have her live with and care for our mother these last four years. My mother was partially disabled from the effects of a stroke four years ago. She had many problems , Diabetes, Skin problems, Arthritis, Parkinson, dementia, altimeters, and many more problems. She did not want to leave her home of over 40 years to move into an assisted living facility, but she was unable to live alone. When we heard Kris was available we made arrangements for her to move in with my mother and could not have been happier with the situation. My mother died peacefully in her sleep in her beloved home. I understand that Kris has applied for a job as a caregiver for your family Member and I wanted to tell you how much joy she brought to our family. While caring for my mother Kris performed a variety of daily activities. She assisted my mother with bathing, dressing, preparing and feeding meals and administering medications. She took my mother for walks around the neighborhood every day, weather permitting, to allow her to get fresh air regularly. Kris drove my mother to routine physician appointments and checkups. She took care of the laundry as well as changing bed linens. Although we hired a weekly maid service, Jennifer took care of the day-to-day household maintenance out of her own want. The house was always neat and clean every week when my family and I visited, and my mother was always in good spirits. Kris was a wonderful companion for my mother, and she spent time in conversation with her to help keep her mind as sharp as possible. While working at Farewell Medical Center Kris was able to skillfully keep up with our extremely heavy patient load while maintaining a positive attitude and treating all patients with respect,many of our patients favored her due to her humor and great spunky personality always bringing comfort to those around her and smiles. Her professionalism is impeccable. She is well-organized and self-motivated. During the course of each day Kris was responsible for interacting with patients by taking medical histories and recording them in each patient’s electronic medical record file, checking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting urine specimens.
