Elder Care in Utica, New York

Hello my name is Kaity I am very interested in meeting you I have been doing in home care for the elderly and disabled for about 10 years now I truly love what I do. I just finished a job in NY Mills for which I provided full time live in care for a year so that the woman was able to stay out of a nursing home as long as possible, quite sadly her family felt it was time for her to be in a nursing home so that she could be closer to where they lived, which is why am looking for new work. I am very friendly and personable I do everything from companionship to cleaning to outings and activities as well as daily living care such as bathing, meal prep, medicine , and any other household needs I even did lawn care at my last job, truly whatever the client needs, I always show up with a smile ln my face and a great attitude ready to make someones day better in any way I can. My goal is to not only allow the client to be able live their life in the manor they are accustomed but to make their families lives easier and worry free as well. The past ten years that i have been doing this, i started as soon as i turned 18, have been extremely enjoyable i wake up everyday happy to go to work, as well as happy to know that i am making a difference in someones life. Over the many years i have been doing this i can say that i have never had a "client" that i have worked for, for every person i have been blessed enough to help has truly become a friend. When i go to work everyday i go in excited to spend time with that person , excited to do things with that person, and excited to learn new things about that person, just as i would with any friend. I always give 110% to my work to be the best care provider as well as companion i can be, always finding ways to make their life the best and most enjoyable it can be. My mother has been an advocate for the elderly and disabled for many years with her help i have found many ways to make sure the person i am helping is enjoying their life to the fullest that is possible for them, eliminating no possiblities in what that person desires to do and making that possible. I had a woman i took care of whom was a quadrapoligic, she was in her early 40's i found an organization which made it possible for her to go to las vegas and evn got her full 24 hr care while she was there. Another woman whom was 98 had not left her home in over ten years other than doctor appointments as she had overwhelming anxiety in public. I took the extra time with her and worked with her everyday and built up trust between us to where she eventually would go out and about to stores and elsewhere. I tell you these few stories because i want you to see that i truly put my heart and soul into this job and it in turn brings not only me lots of joy but those I am helping as well.
