Application: As a dedicated nurse aide to children and the elderly, I am an excellent match for consideration as a Home Support Worker/Elderly Care Provider. Since 2007 I have worked as a care provider for Home away care and hospitals where I take care of the elderly with their daily needs. I work under the guidance of nursing and mid wifery council to help implement medical and psychosocial care to senior citizens providing services like physical care, psycho-emotional care, optimizing quality health care. I have a certificate in the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Approach to Quality Care issued by the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. I also have a certification in Basic Life Support which covers CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation and First Aid. I am deeply committed to caring for senior citizens using total nursing care plan process. My goal is to win their trust and alleviate pain, fear and anxiety. I am patient when it comes to dealing with seniors, knowing that they require adequate care and companionship during periods of aging, incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption. With my background training in Nursing, I also have the ability to perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse. I have an updated Police Criminal report check, and all necessary medical vaccinations taken.
