Elder Care Job in Lafayette, Colorado

Posting: We are hiring a home caregiver for my husband who is in his 40's and a stroke survivor. I hope to connect with a hardworking, efficient, clean, and family oriented person to work with us. We have 2 children and a cat. Services And Training: Would like you to be CPR certified. Experience working with stroke survivors or brain injury is a plus. He walks with hands on and gate belt however becoming more independent. He can use the restroom independently on the main floor of our house. He will need help bathing and dressing. Sometimes there are doctor and therapy appointments that he will need to be brought to. We have a car for his transportation. His left side has been heavily effected and he does need help with stretches and passive range of motion on that side. PT and OT experience would be a huge bonus. He is 3.5 years out from his stroke however is diligent about doing all of his therapies to continue to make improvements. His speech was impacted as well. He has dysarthria, slurred speek however can communicate well you just need patience. he has a great sense of humor which is helpful. Other Availability: We have flexibility if you do. Right now we are looking for coverage from about 3-8 PM (hours semi flexible) on Friday and Monday. If you can't do Friday night I am open to Saturday afternoon/ evening instead.
