New Residential Assisted Living home seeksI non-medical caretakers for up to 10 elderly people in a desert mansion, 9,000 square foot, private chef, and maid. There are three shifts and weekend/holidays available: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm ($18 per hour), 4:00 pm to 2:00 ($12 per hour) am and 2:00am to 9:00am ($10.50 per hour). Weekend and holiday caretaker all Saturday 9:00 AM to Monday 9:00am ($14 per hour.) One person can take as many shift they want. There will be a background with finger print required. Based upon your performance we will choose one Chief Caretaker who will manage the program ($20 per hour). Basic duties for caregivers working in the home revolve around providing care one-on-one for an elderly client. You will help create an environment for the elderly to give them the comfort of home. Heres a quick breakdown of caregiver duties for a non-medical caregiver position, the 9::00am-4:00pm shift will be the BIG shift. The 4:00pm-2:00 am and the 2:00am to 9:00 am will be mostly be sleeping, watching TV or lounging, of course 2:00am to 9:00 am will be mostly sleeping, ($84 per day to sleep. All shifts will start with head count and safety check list: Following the care plan as directed by supervising nurse. 1. Assisting with bathing and grooming - This can include but is not limited to: shampooing hair, finger and toenail care, brushing teething, and shower assistance. 2. Basic food preparation - From grocery shopping to knowing the diet of each person. Allergies, no-nos, food preferences.... Working with our professional chef to make sure they are well taken care of. 3. Medication reminders - Caregivers must assure that medications are taken at the correct time as directed by the supervising doctor. 4. Housekeeping Its important for caregivers to keep a safe and clean environment. Duties related to housekeeping will typically involve making the bed and and cleaning the bathroom.. we have a deep cleaning maid 5. Pool, Pet, Music Therapy Supervision--the residence have weekly 6. Transferring the client This refers to transferring the client from chairs, from the toilet, from bed, and to and from a vehicle. 7. Toileting Its important to assist with using the toilet to encourage comfort and prevent any infections 8. Transportation If a caregiver has a vehicle and a drivers license, its likely they will help to take the elder around to doctors appointment and other activities. 9. Monitoring changes in clients health When following the care plan, the supervising nurse will want to know if there are any changes in health that are concerning and that may need medical attention. 10. Companionship Possibly the most important of all caregiver duties, caregivers will be with the elder all day and its mutually beneficial if they enjoy each others company. Its a very important part of a caregiver job! Beyond these basic caregiver duties, duties for caring for an elderly client are highly dependent on their special needs. No two people are alike and no two caregiving jobs are alike either. Some seniors are suffering from memory loss while others are sharp as a whip yet struggle getting around and doing simple things like opening the med bottle. When it comes to caring for the elderly, its important to keep in mind that caregiver duties vary and being able to adapt and respond are important.
