Elder Care in La Grange, North Carolina

I have worked as a Certified Surgical Technician in the OR for 33 years, from 1975-200.... Since then I worked as a Medical Technician in a Urology Clinic in Jacksonville, N.C. I moved back home to take care of my father until his death in 2013. I have worked with patients, sick and well for over half my life starting at age 19. I had many duties to perform from assisting the surgeon to emergency and recovery care. I will never forget what I have learned throughout my career and now it seems that I have become a health care advocate for my family, friends, and loved ones. I have worked in small hospitals and large medical centers. They include, Lenoir Memorial Hospital, Wayne Memorial Hospital, Carolina East Medical Center, and Onslow Memorial Hospital. I had to administer CPR on my own father before he passed away at home. Thank God all of my sister and brothers were home for the Fourth of July holiday. He died on the fifth. I would like very much to work with patients again and hopefully until I retire. I have worked all types of shifts over the years so I never developed a sleep pattern because when I would go home in the afternoon, there was no guarantee that I would remain there. I have one son who is 33 years old. I also have four grandchildren ages 13 to 21. I live at home with my mother who will be 88 on September 18th. She still works!! I guess I have her genes! I like to cook, clean, work outside in the flower gardens,and read my medical journals. I have a lot of time on my hands now and I just want to do something with it. There is nothing to me like a steady job and being active. I am ready to go again!!!
