Elder Care in Raleigh, North Carolina

I have worked as Caregiver in one aspect or another the majority of my life. I have always possessed an innate desire to help others; Caregiving has enabled me to feel gratification and a great sense of fulfillment in my life. After graduating from a Community College with an AAS degree in Human Services, I realized I needed an additional two to four years to proceed with my chosen profession. Unfortunately, my financial situation would not allow me to continue. To make a long story short, I became a licensed Nursing Assistant, and began working in nursing home facilities etc. Several years later, I attended a private school and became a Medical Assistant. As Medical Assistant, I began working in physician offices and Urgent Care Clinics; my curriculum taught me necessary skills needed in this environment. I worked in this capacity for several years before relocating back to NC in 2011. Upon reentering the job force in Raleigh, NC, I discovered there was a multiplicity of home healthcare opportunities. I made the decision to become my own "boss" and make my own schedule. I initiated employment in a few home healthcare agencies, and shortly afterwards, began to pursue private clients. This has become a true passion of mine, as it brings me great joy and gratification knowing I have brightened someones' day! For the last six years, I have worked exclusively in home healthcare fulfilling my ambition with the Senior population.
