Hello, my name is Jodi, I am Social Service Worker in Gerontology field. I have learned and implemented many skills while working with older adults, within a long term care home setting following the ( BPSS) Biological, Psychological, Socio-cultural, Spiritual approach when working with older adults and their (ADL's) activities of daily living. Through using this approach I have been able to do the following for older adults in need of care. Duties that will include: Recreational Programs light physical activites Assisting with eating and or meal prep. Working with clients who have dementia and Alzheimer's care. Taking the time to get to know the client and their personal interests. Documenting the clients (ADL'S) Actives of daily living. Daily physical activities including Walking and outing for the client's needs. Grocery Shopping for their dietary needs. Assisting in dressing and personal care when needed. Light duty house keeping.
