Elder Care in Ottawa, Ontario

May H was one of our clients and volunteers a few years ago. She came to our agency asking for hep to get a job, then she registered as a volunteer. I was one of the managers in our agency which helps immigrant women. From my experience with May, she is a hard working, honest, independent and dependable person. She is respectful , helpful and politeness. She is passionate towards her work and take her work seriously. She is always willing to take extra work/hard job and, takes responsibility. She can communicate with the staff quite well regardless her limited oral English, she is always friendly and patience. May always takes initiative to help other volunteers/needed people, especially elderly. She gets along with the staff and is a good team player. Her knowledge in Chinese traditional food nutrition and Chinese herbs is an asset when she works with elderly, especially Chinese elderly. Her languages skills , other than the conversational English, Cantonese and Mandarin also is an advantage when she serves Chinese families.
