Resume Summary: Hello my name is Jamie. I'm seeking an elder care provider job in Toronto, Ontario. I promise to be good person. I will work part or full-time as required. Services And Training: i became best friends with an 85 year old man we were roommates for 5 years he became ill the last three years I've lived with him he was bedridden mentally unstable and completely incapacitated I had to care for him in regards to every detail I had no experience but had to learn very quickly because his family was of absolutely no help and he was devastated if he had to go into a home therefore I learned quickly how to care for him, professionals would come in once or twice a week to help and I noticed very quickly, they were no more qualified to do the exact same job I was doing, in fact, I was doing even more so than these trained professionals who went to school for this profession. I found that they came in and rushed through it as quickly as possible, and wanted to get out as quickly as they got in to help. I have no medical expertise as I am not a doctor however I am very qualified and probably better trained then the professionals sent in from the government. I had no idea I was interested in this type of work, in fact, I truly believed I did not have the stomach for it until I had no choice but to take care of my best friend, and was pleasantly surprised that I Came To Love and Enjoy the three years I had with Matt, every task involved with caring for Matt came natural to me and I found I enjoyed the company so much that everything else came easy .
