Elder Care in Shinnston, West Virginia

Who I Am: I hope you are having a good day. I am interviewing for an in home caregiver placement in Shinnston, West Virginia. I have recently relocated to Shinnston and looking to help and a family needing care for their loved one. I have no formal experience, as I never accepted pay, but I have helped provide care for my elderly neighbor and her husband, who recently passed from Parkinson's. I loved every moment I was able to spend with them. I found I really enjoyed helping care for them and would love the opportunity to help a family looking for a loving and honest caregiver. I mainly provided company, helped prepare meals and light housekeeping. Also, assistance to the restroom and made sure Ed took his pills. I would also go sit with him, so his wife, Dorcas could go get her hair done and have a little break from the responsibility and worries of providing full time care of her husband. I hope to apply my skill as an in home caregiver. I am available immediately and would love to offer a family much needed help caring for their loved one. Description of Skills: I have experience with social support, dementia care, and support with intellectual disabilities. Further, I have personal transportation available.
