Good day, My name is Kimberly and I've been Nursing for 16 years now. I've worked in homecare and with the elderly for most of my profession. I am a compassionate and dedicated caregiver and will treat your loved one, as I'd want my loved one to be treated. I am dependable, reliable, patient and consistent with care. I believe that the elderly do best while in a comfortable and safe, familiar, if not, home environment, that companionship is extremely important and a clean and safe home is essential to maintain or prolong good health. Communication and respect in doing care is also important and I do keep notes and documents pertaining to each new day. I absolutely love my profession and have always had a soft-spot for the elderly and enjoy working for and alongside them but I do treat any patient/client booking as a job. That said, keeping in mind legislation and practicing safely and within my scope of practice, those who pay my wages are in charge of my duties and expectations. I'm flexible with hours, at the moment, and can adjust my time to suit your family and make a commitment to you. I do plan on continuing my education in the evenings on some days, in order to finally finish my nursing degree (BScN) and, at some point, would like to teach first aide and CPR on selected weekends or in the evenings, specifically, I'd like to teach CPR refresher courses to nurses and other healthcare providers or students who need it for school. I'm the mother of a 19 year old son and we have a close relationship. I'm big on family and maintain close relationships with my family. That said, I treat my patient's families with the greatest of respect and caring attitude, as connection/connectedness is also of great importance in maintaining health and a healthy balance in day to day life. I'm currently awaiting the reinstatement of my driver's license, which will take a few more weeks, and can run errands, take your family member to medical appointments or on outings. I'd love to offer this immediately but I'm expected to take a road test, as I was suspended for medical reasons. I'll have no restrictions and will be insured for the transport of healthcare clients.
