Palliative care; provided comfort measures, pain management and assisted the clients and their families in arranging hospice care. Monitored IV therapy and administered IV medication. Strengths included the ability to develop a helping nurse client therapeutic relationship quickly. • Medical, Surgical, and Rehab Units at North Bay Regional Health Centre Provide bedside care in a variety of environments. Skills included physical assessments, vital signs, personal care, assisted with nutrition, administered medications orally, S.C. IM and IV in a safe manner. Able to practice wound care, IV monitoring and catheterization. Experience in electronic documentation included flow sheets, progress notes using Data, Action, Evaluation format. • Mental Health on the forensic secured unit at North Bay Regional Health Centre Completed cognitive and psychosocial assessments. Preformed safety checks with staff at the beginning of each shift. Assisted members of the health care team with clients when participating in activities outside of the secured unit. Administered medications. • Long term care at Cassellhomes Nursing home in North Bay Provided personal care including bathing, oral care, grooming and dressing, and toileting. Experience in using mechanical lifts. Followed influenza outbreak precautions.
