Elder Care in Shreveport, Louisiana

Hello! My first experience working with seniors was on a volunteer basis in a senior center 10 years ago. I prepared lunches, served and got to know all the lunch seniors. I've been trained and have experience with feeding, washing/bathing, dressing, helping with mobility/wheelchairs, light lifting, medication dispensing and grooming. My ideal position would be for a part-time companion, but at this time I am open to full time and whatever care they would need. I have the time and transportation to spend time with a senior in their own home, or to check on them when the family requires, prepare lunch and/or dinner, spend quality time with a senior (I'm a great conversationalist and I love to hear life stories). And from past experience, we may just become friends. I love have loved all the seniors I have cared for and they seem to perk up a little in my company. Seniors are full of knowledge and experience and have so much to give to our young people. The seniors and families I have worked for have enjoyed my company and I them. I love people and I suppose that is why I love seniors. Every person, or couple I have worked for has asked me to stay on a permanent basis. I wish I could have said yes to all of them. Thank you.
