I have extensive experienced with geriatric care also having experience in basic patient care, I am certified in Several Areas of the medical field including Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ certification for Advanced and Basic Alzheimer’s and Dementia care. I am eager to leverage my skills and expertise to contribute to the wellbeing of my clients. I am highly skilled in performing all types of patient care activities which include: dressing, bathing, special hygiene, fall prevention, and assisting in rehabilitative exercises. I am also able to take and document vital signs as needed. In addition, I have the ability to prepare and serve meals, assist clients with cooking and shopping and accompany clients on appointments and visits, shopping and other errands. I have attached a list to provide you with an idea of my skills. * Provide companionship for the client including, but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing social and emotional support * Promote the client's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest * Provide emotional support and promote a sense of well-being * Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members * Assist with light housekeeping duties including laundering of client's clothing and linens * Prepare and serve meals as requested. Ensure that dishes are washed and kitchen is clean after each meal * Assist client in completing necessary phone calls, letter writing, etc. * Accompany client on walks, doctor's visits and other appointments * Assist with dressing and grooming * Remind client to take self-administered medications * Observe and report any changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to you in a timely manner * Establish and maintain communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and concerned Healthcare-workers
