As a Registered Medical Technologist, I have been serving at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital, Laboratory Department (Tertiary Level Hospital) for almost 21 years, until lately became the Operational Manager of the laboratory. I made my initial acquaintance with Mr. Alicamad in 1997, when we became both employed by our previous private hospital employment. He worked as an emergency staff Nurse and I was the Chief Medical Technologist of the hospital at that time. We worked as a very good team, and once a very good friend of mine. I would describe Mr. Alicamad as having a solid academic background in the field of Nursing. I can see that, he was responsible and efficient in every task assigned to him. Alicamad is efficient, detail-oriented, and extremely competent. He also has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. Until such time he rendered resignation and push through his plan to work abroad and look for a greener pasture. He took the opportunity to undergone different trainings as additional knowledge that is inline to his profession. In April 2016, He went back in the Philippines, and has the intense desire to apply for the position as Phlebotomist in the current hospital I was connected with. I arranged for him and recommended to have it employed since he has proven to show Certificate of Training in Phlebotomy as one of the requirement needed. In a short period of time, I have observed that, Mr. Alicamad has the ability to meet the Standard Operating Procedure without compromising the quality of work.
