This includes physical therapy, dressing, bathing, feeding, speech, medication compliance. Familiar with falls prevention, safe transfers as well as patients with dementia, and other mental heath issues. Further, I have reliable transportation, truly love working with senoirs, can also do light housecleaning, meal prep, etc rands. It is difficult to watch our loved ones age, deteriorate and lose their independence in itself, but add the the stress and strain of a caregivers role -and it can become s volatile environment only making matters worse. This is where I come in and ease your mind, by taking over duties, so you can tend to what’s important- Maintaining self-care and relations with the patient- not charged with tenseness! This may not be your situation, but it is typical that families tend to feel guilty- you are not alone. When it comes to prior experience, I have 12 years in all facets of long term care, am a former nurse re-entering the job market as non- licensed professional. In the past I’ve built great rapport with senior patients and can be persuasive and encouraging to complete tasks, but also can be flexible laid back when called for. I like to keep a cheerful upbeat attitude yet can be a very good listener. In home - it is patient’s home , I respectfully work for them and acclimate to their surroundings.
