Elder Care in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal, Quebec

Hello! Since having graduated, with honours, from the George Brown Personal Support Worker Program in August 2012, I have been providing care and companionship to residents with a variety of cognitive impairments and neurological disorders at a long term care facility. My manner and practice reflect my deep commitment to care and service that is compassionate, differentiated and sensitive to all manner of diversity and need. I am an excellent communicator and my greatest strength is the empathy and humour I bring in fostering interpersonal relationships. I have demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to follow through on multiple tasks in my previous experiences in caring for both children and elders in various institutional and non-traditional settings. I have a Standard First Aid and CPR certificate, and was UFirst certified at the Toronto Alzheimer’s Society in 2012. Aside from my personal support work, I am an avid reader, writer and lover of the arts.
