Employers’ address: 4 Fallstar Crescent, Brampton, ON L7A 2J5 Work Location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Feed or assist in feeding • Change non-sterile dressings • Shop for food and household supplies • Provide personal care • Provide companionship • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene • Launder clothing and household linens • Collect specimens • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk • Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) • Mend clothing and linens • Administer medications • Administer bedside and personal care • Prepare and serve nutritious meals Requirements: -Education: Some secondary school -Experience: At least a year of full-time experience as a caregiver or personal care attendant is required Salary: $15.72 to $17.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week Benefits: Extended Medical Insurance, Disability and Pension provided. Uniform, prescription and allowance to spend for transportation are also provided. 4 paid sick days per year provided. Important Information: - The personal care attendant will be responsible for the care of a 70-year old woman with Lowey body dementia, and needs assistance with her ADL (activity of daily living) and safety while we work. She has become mentally ill and requires urgent help. - Schedule will be 9:00 to 6:00. 5 days per week. 2 days off every other weekend and during the week when working on the weekend. The worker will also be needed some evenings from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Two paid meal breaks and four paid healthy breaks. - Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
