R. #1, Little Current, ON, P0P 1K0 Work Location: same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Provide personal care • Mend clothing and linens • Launder clothing and household linens • Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Plan and cook therapeutic diets and menus • Provide companionship • Administer bedside and personal care • Shop for food and household supplies • Change non-sterile dressings • Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk • Administer medications • Prepare and serve nutritious meals Requirements: -Education: Some secondary school is required -Experience: Experience is an asset Salary: $16.35 to $18.35 hourly, 35 Hours per week Benefits: Dental care fees will be reimbursed by the employer. Important Information: - The personal care attendant will be responsible for the care of a 71-year old man who suffers from feet and leg problem with diabetes; the employer also had a major aneurism operation and heart problems with stents. The patient had a heart attack and he has a murmur too. - Flexibility on schedule is required. Shifts: 9:30am to 4:30pm from Tuesday to Saturday. - Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
