Employer: Eugene Gauthier Employers’ address: 991 Nellie Little Crescent, Newmarket, ON Work Location: 6491 Main St., Stouffville, ON Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Provide personal care • Provide companionship • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Launder clothing and household linens • Collect specimens • Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) • Administer bedside and personal care • Feed or assist in feeding via enteral tube feeding and water with syringe • Change non-sterile dressings • Administer medications • Assist client to walk, sit and climb stairs • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene Requirements: -Education: some secondary school -Experience: At least a year of full-time experience as a caregiver or personal care attendant is required -First Aid Certificate is an asset - Physically able to lift and hold the employer as needed Salary: $13.05 to $15.00 hourly, 30 Hours per week Important Information: - The personal care attendant will be responsible for the care of an 86 year old man that suffers of severe dysphagia (he cannot swallow food or water) and foot drop (he cannot sense when his heel will touch the ground). The care required includes feeding the patient via enteral tube and water with syringe - Flexibility on schedule is required. The shifts will be rotating shifts that can be during the week and during the weekend; the shifts can start at 9:00am, 3:00pm or 6:00pm and midnight shifts starting at 11:00pm are also required. - Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
