Employers’ address: 414 Cranbrooke Ave, Toronto ON M5N 1N5 Work Location: 7420 Bathurst St, Thornhill, ON L4J 6X4, Canada Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Provide personal care, Mend clothing and linens, Launder clothing and household linens, Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Plan therapeutic diets and menus, Provide companionship, Administer bedside and personal care, Shop for food and household supplies, Change non-sterile dressings, Feed or assist in feeding, Collect specimens (if needed) Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Administer medications, Prepare and serve nutritious meals Important Information: The personal care attendant will be responsible for the care of an 86 year old woman -she suffers from some dementia and hearing loss. Requirements: -Education: Completion of secondary school is required -Experience: Experience is an asset. -First Aid Certificate is an asset -Physically able to lift and hold the elderly person as needed Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment Salary: $13.91 to $14.50 hourly, 40 Hours per week. Monday to Friday 10.30 am -6.30 pm. Flexibility of schedule is required.
