Employer: Sant Singh Sidhu and Mandeep Singh Sidhu Employer’s address: 1235 Freeman St., Burlington, ON, L7S 2J7 Work Location: same as above Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: • Plan and cook menus; cook Indian food is an asset • Provide companionship • Provide personal care • Shop for food and household supplies • Change non-sterile dressings • Feed or assist in feeding • Collect specimens • Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk • Assist clients in water (i.e. pool) • Administer medications • Administer bedside and personal care • Mend clothing and linens • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Launder clothing and household linens • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene • Prepare and serve nutritious meals • Assist employer to carry everything heavy, for example groceries • Take client to doctor’s appointments Requirements: -Education: some secondary school is required -Experience: Experience is an asset -First Aid Certificate is an asset Salary: $16.72 to $18.00 hourly, 30 Hours per week Benefits: Extended medical insurance. Important Information: - The personal care attendant will be responsible for the care of a 69 year-old man who turns 70 in September. The care attendant must be with the employer when walking because he risks of falling down anytime. - Flexibility on schedule is required. Shifts: 6:00am to 9:00am in the morning and 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the afternoon from Monday to Friday.
