Elder Care in Victoria, British Columbia

Hi there. I just moved to Victoria and I am looking to be a part of some of the communities I was a part of when I lived in Halifax. I feel very lucky that My grandma lived with my family for about 5 years. I spent a lot of time caring for her, hanging out with her, and just being her friend. My last grandparent passed away about 8 years ago, and since then I have noticed that I am more drawn to elderly people. The lessons I learned from my grandparents and the connection that I felt with them has inspired me to be a friend to other elderly people and to appreciate and connect with the elders in our community. My grandmother and her partner suffered from Alzheimers, so I have quite a bit of experience with that and I am well aware of the patients that disease demands. Otherwise, I am happy to go on walks, cook, play games, dance, listen to music and talk (and listen). Any other care needed (cleaning, bathing etc I am also comfortable with!).
