Elder Care in Chicago, Illinois

I have been in the caregiving business since 1999. I went to school for my CNA certificate in 1999. I work as a CNA at a nursing home. I wasn't happy with the treatment that the seniors was given by other people, I resigned. I then went to work as a CNA in hospital's. I have worked with Cancer patients, Dementia, Alzheimer's and I have worked with Children as well. I have administered Medicine, given shots, monitor blood glucose, colostomy bag. Foley's, assisted patient after different surgeries to get out of bed and bathe. Also get out of bed, sit up for a while then take a walk. This helps after surgery to build your strength back up. I also graduated in 2006 as a Medical Assistant. I have worked as a supervisor supervising 130 caregivers. Then I got promoted to Elderly Service Director. Then in 2015 the program closed because of the budget. I then because a franchise owner running my own Cleaning Business. Realizing later that that was a big mistake. I was cleaning 7 banks, 1 trucking company, 1 golf course and a coil company. My monthly payment was under $3000, how was I going to pay myself and my employees. So I sold it back to the franchise. Now I am looking for employment.
