Hello, I first got into elder care about 12 years ago taking care of my parents who both had alzheimer. My mom pass away pretty quickly after her diagnosis which left me taking care of my dad only. He was in hospice at the VA when a doctor of his took notice of my dedication to my dad and when he passed on I then took care of the doctors mom for about 2 years. She was my first payed client. Im comfortable doing just about everything that caregiving entails.
