Elder Care in Thunder Bay, Ontario

My name is Alayna Delgaty. I am an extremely patient, understanding, kind and empathic individual. I take pride in my work and I take the time to deliver top quality care. My top qualities are noticing discomfort (I have recognized strokes before they happens, infections, and brought patients to the doctor and saved lives before they could even tell something was wrong!), listening to their needs/wants, and being able to provide a great quality of life. I have a sense for understanding people (even if they are unable to communicate), I am able to bond with anyone, and deliver comfort and care. I have worked within a wide range of people and different environments. I worked in Independent living, assisted living, delegating tasks from nurses so the clients can stay home and have care (including physio or lung physio, bowel routines, cathedar care or colostomy, woundcare). I worked in retirement homes and for BISNO (Brain injury services/behaviours) and currently I work for community living (wide range of clients; right now I work closely with developmental disabilities - autism, behaviours and so on) and also I have a full time PSW job at Hogarth Hospital. Yes I am busy so I do charge more as I do not drive currently and I have a daughter and I am trying to make ends meet on my own. I provide top quality care and I feel like that is what I am worth through all my experience. I am hoping to set up my own business later on and tailor to my clients on my own, but right now I am waiting for my G2 - I do have a car. My license expired when Covid hit - long story. Furthermore, I am in school to become a registered nurse.
