Elder Care in Dallas, Texas

My name is Connie, and I have been a caregiver for 11 years. For the past 6 years I have assisted a lady In Richardson, TX. with various activities of daily living, including cooking, transportation, errands, and light housekeeping. Companionship was very much a component and over those six years, a very meaningful rapport was established. She was very independent, but just needed a little help with household tasks and transportation to Dr. appts. She just recently relocated to a Senior facility, so I am currently available to provide similar support and assistance to someone who might night a little help! Prior to my most recent client, I assisted a couple also from Richardson, where the husband had Parkinson's Disease. I helped his wife in a variety of ways, so that she could go out on occasion and get a little break. I cooked meals for them, did laundry and ironing, and light house keeping. Newton was an Engineer, throughout his adult life, so the affects of Parkinson's greatly affected his movement. I helped him with bookkeeping, accounting, in addition to other computer tasks that were difficult to do. I helped him with his prescribed exercise plan while listening to Broadway musicals! :-) Companionship, again, was an important aspect of our relationship, and I continued on with this couple for 5 years! I am currently seeking a part time or full time position I live in Dallas. I'm a non-smoker. I have a clean driving record.
