Elder Care Job in Albany, Oregon

Need hands-on care of elderly disabled man/husband in Albany. We're looking for general in home health and care help. Some general items are help preparing meals, running errands/shopping, full assistance with bathing, peri care and dressing. Doing light housekeeping and experience with or willing to learn job duties. Date and time is very flexible. We are looking for someone 2, maybe3 hours, 1-2 times a week. We're looking for someone who is: *Comfortable with pets *Assist with Bathing / Dressing *Some Meal Preparation *Some Errands / Shopping *Light Housekeeping Job Duties: Occasional Household Tasks Light Housekeeping: clean and keep tidy all living areas, clean bath rooms and kitchen Laundry: wash and change bed linens and launder personal clothing Meals: cook, grocery shop, prepare food ahead for later meals Hands on Personal Care Bathing: Full assist bathing, transferring in/out tub/shower, bed-baths as needed Dressing / Grooming: assist dressing, glasses, special orthotics (i.e. braces), hair care trimming, shaving, oral hygiene dentures Incontinence: assist with positioning undergarment pad, related skin care, BPH treatment prostrate massage followed by perineal care Basic Health Monitoring Skin, Edema Leg Swelling: monitor for signs of breakdown, apply massage pressure point reduction measures, Leg massage CP/CPPS Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome: check pelvic skin for breakdown and skin lesions, apply pelvic surface pressure point massage reduction measures, followed by peri care and antibiotic cream on any skin lesions. Catheters: External Care: perform as needed male external catheter care including emptying drainage bag, cleaning and securing tubing and bags. Remove catheter, check skin for lesions, reattach catheter after shower/bath and perineal care.
