Overview: Hello we are Alternative Therapeutic Transport. My name is Edward Brown. I am the founder along with co- founder Betty Brown, my wife . I got started in the home care business when our dad suffered a stroke and dementia in 2005. My sister and myself took shifts looking after him in her home which was an around the clock process. During that time, I relied on non emergency medical transportation to get us to dad's appointments and the experience was not a pleasant one. We would arrive on time but getting picked up to return home would be 45 minutes to well over an hour. We will change that by offering seniors, veterans, and physically challenged individuals by pairing them with driver/companion aides to assist them with their daily living and errands. My wife has been in the medical field assisting doctors with patients and prep minor surgical operations. Like myself, she has started out as a caregiver and has over 15 years of experience with a vast amount of medical knowledge. We cover Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton, and Smithfield. We strive to provide compassionate, safe, efficient, quality care.
