I've known Ruth for 16 years, now, and for 6 of those years she took care of my son who had cerebral palsy. She took very good care of the basics, feeding, cleaning, changing and moving him around. She included him in some of her family activities: like movies, getting out doors, and playing the piano! (He mostly just banged on the keys!) In her work with him she was kind, patient, and "firm" with her scolding in that some times my son would like to play the rascal card. I highly recommend her for any day or night care for someone with mild to severe disabilities. Any client to recieve her aid would be extremely luck to have her!

Ruth provided caregiving to our family at various times for at least twenty years and it may have been as long as twenty-five or thirty years. The care generally was for our son, disabled since birth. Sometimes the care was in our home but much of the care was at her home and often for several days at a time. She always gave his needs high priority and adjusted her own family's needs so that he was not neglected. I had complete confidence that he was receiving loving and responsible care when he was with her. I highly recommend her as a caregiver. The care involved feeding, bathing, transportation, and other activities of daily living. My wife was a teacher her entire life and at one time babysat Ruth and her brother. So we have known her and her family for many years, ever since she was a child. Ruth's mother was the real estate agent who found the home we live in and have lived in for forty-five years.
